HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Hollywood police are asking for the public's help in finding the burglar who stole a handgun and credit cards from a home, authorities said.
It happened April 9 in the 400 block of North 57th Avenue in Hollywood.

Officers learned the victim left home at 7 a.m. that day and returned at 7:55 p.m. to find their home had been burglarized.
Among the items stolen were the victim's credit cards and a 9mm handgun, police said.
Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call Hollywood police or email tips to Hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org.
Editor's note: Hollywood police said it had made contact with the person recorded on surveillance video who was believed to have used the victim's credit card. In a new release, the department said it has determined the person in the video was unrelated to the residential burglary investigation.
