FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā A couple of robbers stormed a Hallmark store Friday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale.
The incident happened before 2 p.m. at the busy Coral Ridge Mall. Nouri's Hallmark store is located in the middle of the shopping center.
"He knows what he's doing," said owner Nouri Hassan, who has run the family business for 30 years. "This is not their first time probably."
Surveillance cameras were rolling as two men entered the store, one armed with a hammer.
One man went straight for the display cases and ran down the line smashing case after case, while the second man loaded up on gold chains and other jewelry.
Another man was seen on the mall security cameras keeping eye out for police while a driver pulled up to the front of the store and picked up all suspects. The car fled the scene shortly afterward.
Police are still investigating, but employees think the vehicle was a black Nissan Altima.
The crooks made off with up to $150,000 worth of merchandise.
Police continue to search for the suspects and ask anyone with information to contact them.
