Pilot forgets to deploy gear

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A seaplane was forced to make an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Friday.

Broward Sheriff's Office officials said the pilot forgot to deploy the gear before landing. The plane skidded on the runway before coming to a stop.

Sky 10 was above the scene about 5:30 p.m. as passengers were seen getting off the Cessna 208 with the help of fire rescue officials.

It's unclear how many people were on board the 10-seat plane.

No injuries were reported.

The plane is registered to an owner in Salt Lake City, Utah.
