POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man is facing charges after ransacking a storage room at Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach over the weekend, deputies said.
Larry Andrews, 21, faces one count of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at the school Sunday after a silent alarm was triggered inside one of the buildings.
Deputies said they found several doors unlocked, and eventually found Andrews inside a classroom.
Deputies said Andrews attempted to flee and hide behind a counter in another classroom, but was handcuffed and taken into custody.
Cabinets and drawers appeared to have been ransacked inside a nearby storage room, according to deputies, who said Andrews had several computer/telephone power cords in his possession.
