Fire reported at Fort Lauderdale convenience store

Cause of fire under investigation

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ A Fort Lauderdale convenience store was significantly damaged after a fire broke out Monday morning.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman Timothy Heiser said the owner arrived at the store at 844 NE 10th Terr. to find the building filled with smoke.

Firefighters quickly put out the flames, although they said they experienced some difficulty entering the building due to security bars and locked roll-up doors.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
