HIALEAH, Fla. ā Workers from the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department will begin repairs on a portion of a 54-inch water main on Red Road in Hialeah Tuesday evening.
Crews will shut down portions of the water main beginning at midnight, which may affect water pressure for residents in the area.

The repairs are expected to take six to eight weeks.
Residents affected by the repairs will be those in northwest Miami-Dade County, including the municipalities of Hialeah, Miami Lakes and Opa-locka. Residents are expected to experience lower than normal water pressure during the repairs.
