Customer at Creola Cuisine struck by SUV

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Police are investigating after a sport utility vehicle crashed into a Miami Gardens restaurant Tuesday night.

Officers said a black Toyota 4Runner tore through two walls at Creole Cuisine, hitting at least one customer inside the restaurant.

The victim's niece, Christina Nozy, identified him as Giuliano Coreus. She said her uncle walked in and was chatting with friends when the SUV crashed into the restaurant.

Witnesses said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. They said the driver told police that something was wrong with his brakes.

The driver appeared to have a minor injury to his hand, and his family confirmed to Local 10 News that he was not seriously harmed.
