MIAMI – A woman died after being shot in the back multiple times in Miami's Overtown neighborhood Monday night, police said.
The victim, identified as Monique Manley, 29, was found in the 1900 block of Northwest Second Court with gunshot wounds.
She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Miami police said Manley was talking to a friend while sitting on top of a car in front of a home.
Police said a car with two men inside drove by, two men got out and opened fire, shooting Manley.
The men then fled the area in the car.
