2 robbers caught in act by detectives, police say

Men accused of snatching gold chains from woman's neck in Aldi supermarket

TAMARAC, Fla. – Two robbers were caught in the act during a multiagency burglary surveillance, Coral Springs police said.

According to an arrest report, detectives saw Deandre Miller, 20, and Dalequion Everett, 18, circle an Aldi supermarket parking lot in Tamarac on Sunday.

Police said Everett got out of the car and snatched three gold necklaces off the neck of a 77-year-old woman.

Police said the men then fled in a four-door gold BMW.

Detectives took the men into custody shortly after on Commercial Boulevard off Powerline Road.

The woman's necklaces were found in the car. She was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Everett and Miller were arrested on robbery charges. Police said Everett also had an outstanding burglary warrant and Miller is currently on probation for burglary.

Both suspects are being investigation in connection with multiple vehicle burglaries throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.
