MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The Miami-Dade Police Department is auctioning off several vehicles that were seized in various criminal investigations.
The vehicles up for auction include two box trucks started at $500 each, a 2008 Chevrolet van priced at $2,000 and a 2010 Mercedes Benz GLK that is currently less than $10,000.
The big prize is a 2015 Palazzo motorhome, which retails for more than $220,000.
The auction runs until July 20. The winners of each item have 48 hours to pay and pick up their purchases.
Miami-Dade police Sgt. John Barrow said the money from the auction is put in a trust fund that pays for protracted police investigations.
