According to Miami-Dade police, the women approached the counter and asked to see a gold necklace that was on display.

Police said one of the women distracted the salesman while another snatched two gold chains valued at about $10,000.

"One was distracting him and the other was collecting the chain," jewelry vendor, James Park told Local 10 News. "When that happened, they would just ball the chain up in their hand, (and) then the other one would distract him and then slightly just take it and put it in their purse."

One of the robbers captured on surveillance video was a younger black woman who was wearing a purple shirt, while the other appeared to be a middle-aged black woman who had orange-reddish hair.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
