Wife in custody after husband found dead, BSO deputies say

Deputies find wife standing over husband's body in kitchen

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Broward County man was was found dead Saturday morning and deputies are holding his wife in custody, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to reports of shots being fired at 1940 SW 46th Terrace near Fort Lauderdale.

When deputies arrived at the home, they discovered Rodney Belles, 56, dead in his kitchen.

BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said his wife, Tina Belles, 57, was standing over his body.

Concepcion said Tina Bells muttered something about having shot her husband.

The fatal shooting apparently stemmed from an altercation, but Concepcion said it wasn't yet known what the dispute was about.
