Plantation police seek woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease

PLANTATION, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

Shirley Garringer, 73, left her home in the 900 block of Southwest 42nd Avenue in Plantation at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Garringer left the home without her medication in her husband's vehicle, described as a 1994 white Toyota Camry bearing Florida tag J97-4QI.

Garringer also suffers from several heart conditions, according to Plantation police.

Garringer is described by police as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds and has brown eyes and short gray hair. She was last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt, dark colored shorts, white shoes, and a multicolored visor, police said.

Anyone who has seen or knows Garringer's whereabouts is asked to call local authorities.
