Advisory to be lifted after repair of water distribution system valve
HIALEAH, Fla. – A precautionary boil water advisory was issued for part of Hialeah as the city repairs a water distribution system valve.
The repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday.
The advisory affects residents and businesses located between West First Avenue and Sixth Avenue, between East Ninth Street, Southeast Second Street and Okeechobee Road.
City officials advise residents to use bottled water or boil water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The advisory will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
Anyone with questions is asked to contact the city of Hialeah Department of Water and Sewers at 305-556-3800.
