Sen. Rubio hits kid in face with football

Rep. presidential candidate was campaigning in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa – If U.S. Senator Marco Rubio dreams of one day playing for his beloved Miami Dolphins, he may need to find a better audition tape.

And a bandage for his receiver's nose.

While tossing around a football with local kids during campaign a stop in Iowa, one of Rubio's passes fell incomplete after bouncing off the face of one of the children.

Despite the injury, the young boy toughed it out and was able to play on, but video of the seemingly benign incompletion has now gone worldwide.

Rubio needs to hope he connects better with the voters than he did with his young teammates.
