2 crashes shut down northbound lanes of I-95 in Miami

1 injured in two-car crash, another arrested in hit-and-run crash

MIAMI – The northbound lanes on Interstate 95 were shut down early Thursday morning after two crashes at Northwest 62nd Street in Miami.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car slammed into a guardrail before 3 a.m. and then hit another car.

One person was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

Troopers said a hit-and-run crash happened near the first crash shortly thereafter. One person was arrested in that crash.

Northbound lanes were closed for about three hours.
