Police search for man who robbed Miami-Dade store at gunpoint

About $3,000 taken in robbery


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for man who robbed a store at gunpoint last week.

The robbery was reported Aug. 31 at 8863 SW 24th St.

According to police, a man grabbed a drink from a back cooler and approached the store clerk.

Police said the robber then pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded that he open the cash register.

Surveillance video from the store shows the man walk around the counter and take about $3,000 in cash.

The robber is described as a black man in his 20s, who is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds.
