MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man wanted in connection with a recent police-involved shooting was arrested Wednesday.

Howard Morraz, 24, faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to police, officers attempted to arrest Morraz's brother Aug. 25 at an apartment complex in the 13200 block of Northeast Seventh Avenue.

Police said Marvin Arroliga, 21, began shooting at the officers.

The officers returned fire, striking Arroliga, police said. He was taken to Aventura Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Arroliga was wanted in connection with a recent shooting. Detectives recovered a firearm at the scene.

Arroliga's brother, Morraz, was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting, police said.

According to an arrest report, Morraz was also wanted on charges of violation of probation and grand theft auto.

Miami-Dade police said Morraz was found with the help of U.S. marshals and the Florida Caribbean Regional Task Force.
