MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police have arrested a man they believe beat a woman to death with a tire iron last week.
Timmy Lee Williams, 23, was wanted on a first-degree murder charge. Police said Friday that he was in custody.

According to detectives, Rubeina Belizario, 74, was beaten Sept. 4 outside her home at 10900 SW 177th Terr.
A witness called 911 about 1:30 p.m. and said that a man was assaulting Belizario with a tire iron and said that the man had also struck her multiple times with a weight lifting bar.
Police said the witness struggled with Williams in an attempt to help the victim, and suffered minor injuries.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced Belizario dead at the scene.
Investigators were later able to identify Williams as the suspect. A motive for the attack remains unclear.
