MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was dragged into a storage room during an attempted robbery late last month at a Dollar Store in south Miami-Dade County.
The attack took place Aug. 30 at the Dollar Store on U.S. Highway 1 near the Coral Castle Museum.

Miami-Dade police said a man entered the store, demanded that the clerk open the cash register, hit her with an item that he removed from the shelves and then dragged her into a storage room in the back of the store.
The man returned to the counter to try to get money from the register, but he was unsuccessful.
Surveillance video released Monday shows the man walking out of the store with a green shopping basket filled with boxes of cigarettes.
Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
