Pedestrian killed in Opa-locka crash

Car with shattered windshield stays at scene


OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – A man has died after being hit by car Thursday morning in Opa-locka, authorities confirm.

The victim's age and identity was not immediately released.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the victim was airlifted to a hospital early in the morning after he was struck by a car on Northwest 27th Avenue and Ali Baba Avenue. 

Sky 10 flew over the scene just after 7 a.m. A car believed to be involved in the crash remained at the scene. Its windshield was shattered.
