COOPER CITY, Fla. – A man armed with a knife robbed a Cooper City convenience store last weekend, getting away with hundreds of dollars.

Surveillance cameras captured the robbery shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday at the 7-Eleven on Griffin Road.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Gina Carter said Sean Levine was working behind the counter when a man entered the store and asked to buy a pack of cigarettes.

After Levine opened the register, the man pulled out a knife and told him, "Give me the money and you won't get hurt." The crook took several hundred dollars from the till and ran out of the store.

Surveillance video showed the man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words "Middle Athletics" on the front and an orange paw print on the back.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the BSO at 954-321-4332 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
