According to Broward Sheriff's Office detectives, Wilson lured Mark Gougeon, 57, into a bathroom inside their home in the 400 block of Northwest 10th Avenue last Tuesday, grabbed him from behind and tried to slash his throat.

Detectives said Wilson stabbed Gougeon multiple times until he collapsed in the bathtub.

Deputies found Gougeon sitting on a bench at a neighbor's home, bleeding profusely from his neck.

Gougeon told deputies that he pretended to be dead so the attack would stop. He said he was able to escape from the home once Wilson became distracted.

Gougeon was taken to Broward Health North in stable condition.
