HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – South Broward High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon as Hollywood police worked to take a man wanted on multiple warrants in to custody.
Hollywood police spokeswoman Officer Meredith Elrich said Glenn Shelton, 29, ran from an officer and barricaded himself inside his hotel room at a Budget Inn.

She said the school had been placed on lockdown since 1:15 p.m. as a precaution.
Police said Shelton was wanted on charges of trafficking cocaine, grand theft, burglary and obstruction without violence.
Sky 10 was over the scene shortly before 4 p.m. as a SWAT team brought Shelton out of the motel in handcuffs. It's unclear whether anyone else was inside the room.
All roads in the area have since reopened and students have been let out for the day.
