Teens sought in Cooper City home burglary

Surveillance video shows teen acting as lookout, another teen walking out of fenced-in yard

COOPER CITY, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to identify two teenagers believed to have burglarized a Cooper City home.

Surveillance video from a home showed one of the teens walking up and down Forest Circle on Nov. 2 while the other teen walks out of a fenced-in yard. The teens can then be seen walking away together.

Residents told deputies they arrived home to find the kitchen window broken, their bedroom ransacked, and jewelry and electronics stolen.

Their next-door neighbor said four of his window screens had been removed, but it didn't appear that anyone got inside the home.

A neighbor reported hearing what sounded like footsteps on her roof, but she didn't see anyone.

Later that afternoon, another neighbor saw a teen wearing a blue glove on his right hand and bleeding from a laceration on his arm.

Anyone who recognizes the teens is asked to call BSO detectives at 954-435-2200 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
