Suspect in fatal shooting of Dav-neisha Bryant caught in Fort Pierce

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. ā€“ A man wanted in the fatal shooting of his estranged girlfriend in Belle Glade was arrested Wednesday in Fort Pierce.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said Dacoby Wooten was taken into custody by U.S. marshals. He was wanted in Monday's shooting on Palm Glade Drive.

Barbera said Wooten forced his way inside the Belle Glade home of Dav-neisha Bryant, 24, shot her and tried to kill her mother.

ABC affiliate WPBF reported that Wooten barricaded himself inside a Fort Pierce apartment after a police standoff.

Wooten faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed burglary and felon in possession of a firearm.
