Man shot, killed outside BAM nightclub in Fort Lauderdale
Joshua Rogers, 27, found dead in parking lot
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Deputies are investigating a shooting outside a nightclub that left one man dead in Fort Lauderdale.
The shooting happened about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of BAM nightclub near West Broward Boulevard and Northwest 28th Terrace.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said a deputy found the man's body after hearing gunshots.
A woman who said she was the grandmother of the victim's children identified him as Joshua Rogers, 27, of Pompano Beach. She told Local 10 News that Rogers had been shot twice before Wednesday's fatal shooting.
Deputies later confirmed his identity.
Homicide detectives are collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses about the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
