Charges dropped against wife of Miami Dolphins' Brent Grimes

State says it will not prosecute Miko Grimes after September arrest

MIAMI – The state attorney's office will not prosecute the wife of Miami Dolphins' Brent Grimes after she was arrested at a game in September outside Sun Life Stadium.

Miko Grimes, 40, faced two misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer without violence and disorderly conduct.

She was arrested Sept. 27 on felony charges after she allegedly broke through a barricade of police bicycles and entered a restricted area of the stadium.

Police said Miko Grimes disobeyed several orders from officers to stop. They said she quickly became combative and head-butted an officer while she was in handcuffs.

"F--- you, cops," police said she screamed at them. "You can't tell me what to do."

A Miami-Dade County judge reduced Miko Grimes' charges last month to misdemeanors, although now she is off the hook on all charges.
