Man believed to be involved in at least 4 armed robberies

Broward County Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a man who detectives believe is responsible for at least four armed robberies throughout South Florida.

The latest robbery was reported just before 2 p.m. last Thursday at a Publix supermarket at 100 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Wilton Manors.

The man is also believed to be responsible for armed robberies at a Family Dollar in Port St. Lucie on Dec. 5, a Winn-Dixie in Barefoot Bay on Dec. 7 and a Publix in Delray Beach last Thursday.

The robber is described as a white man between the age of 40 to 49. He has a medium build and was last seen wearing a plaid/striped fedora hat.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
