Thief spends $900 with credit card stolen from car in Miami-Dade

MIIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police's Hammocks District is searching for a thief who broke into a man's car early last month.

The burglary was reported the night of Nov. 3 in the area of  Southwest 50th Street and 148th Place.

According to police, the thief broke into the victim's Cadillac CTS and stole the victim's wallet, which contained several credit cards and personal documents.

Police said the man used one of the cards several days later to purchase about $900 worth of items, which was captured on surveillance video at Walmart.

Anyone with information about the identity of the thief is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
