Boynton Beach murder suspect Caslyn Darinus captured in Haiti

Police say 23-year-old fled to Haiti after fatal shooting of Watson Alcide

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A second man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a Boynton Beach man earlier this year fled to Haiti and was taken into custody Dec. 12, police said.

Caslyn Darinus, 23, was wanted in the Aug. 24 shooting of Watson Alcide, 46, inside a home on Seacrest Boulevard.

Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said Darinus fled to New York and then Haiti.

Darinus was returned to Florida on Friday and booked into a Palm Beach County jail. He faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, home invasion robbery and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Another man, Junior Volcy, 33, was previously arrested.
