Abandoned home catches fire in Hialeah

No injuries reported

HIALEAH, Fla. – The Fire Prevention Bureau and state fire marshal are investigating the cause of a fire that was reported Tuesday at an abandoned home in Hialeah.

Hialeah firefighters quickly extinguished the flames at the home at 302 E. 19th St.

Hialeah Fire Department spokesman Capt. Cesar Espinosa said the fire appeared to have started in one of the bedrooms.

No one was inside the home, but "what was described as trash" was found inside the home, Espinosa said.

No injuries were reported in the fire and the flames did not appear to damage any nearby structures.
