Fire reported at Pembroke Pines cleaning service warehouse

Cleaning machine's steam stack catches fire, spreads to roof

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A fire was reported Wednesday afternoon at a warehouse in Pembroke Pines.

The fire was reported at about 2 p.m. at the Cintas Cleaning Services building at 1111 NW 209th Ave.

Sky 10 was above the building as firefighters battled the flames from a nearby roof. Two firefighters used a ladder to climb onto the roof where the fire was after the flames and smoke cleared up.

According to Pembroke Pines Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jorge Hernandez, a cleaning machine's vent or steam stack caught fire and spread to the HVAC and roof.

Everyone inside the building was immediately evacuated. No injuries were reported.

The damage appeared to be be mostly contained to the roof on one side of the warehouse.

Hernandez said the fire was extinguished by 2:25 p.m.
