SINGER ISLAND, Fla. – Authorities said 28 Haitian migrants were detained by U.S. Border Patrol Wednesday morning after arriving in Singer Island.
A Riviera Beach police representative said the small boat carrying the migrants came ashore the beach behind a condominium building at 5400 N. Ocean Drive.

Authorities said 13 migrants were detained at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park and 15 were detained in the 4500 block of North Ocean Drive.
The boat was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol.
It's unclear when the migrants will be returned to Haiti.
