Accused peeping Tom arrested by Pembroke Pines police
Pelayo Alexander Cerulia, 43, turns himself in to authorities Thursday
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Pembroke Pines police have arrested a man they claim has been peeping into women's homes throughout several neighborhoods.
Pelayo Alexander Cerulia, 43, turned himself in Thursday. He faces charges of burglary, battery, shooting a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling and aggravated stalking.
According to Pembroke Pines police spokeswoman Amanda Conwell, Cerulia would approach the rear bedroom windows of the victims' homes and would look inside while masturbating.
"On two occasions, the suspect attempted to open a window, and in one of those instances struggled with the victim who was trying to close it," Conwell said. "The suspect has also tampered with exterior lighting to the rear of some the victims' residences and has also broken windows with a projectile using a slingshot."
Police said Cerulia looks for women with caramel skin complexion and long dark hair. His victims have been in the communities of Windmill Lakes, Heron Pond and Gatehouse, and the Sunswept.
Anyone who believes that they were a victim of Cerulia is asked to call Pembroke Pines police at 954-431-2200.
