All trains shut down in Palm Beach County

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – A Tri-Rail train collided with a garbage truck Monday morning in Lake Worth, disrupting Tri-Rail traffic in Palm Beach County.

The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on the Tri-Rail tracks near Interstate 95 and Sixth Avenue South.

Tri-Rail spokeswoman Bonnie Arnold said a northbound train collided with the truck.

Arnold said there were 80 people on the train at the time, but there were no serious injuries.

The truck driver's condition was not immediately known.

All trains in Palm Beach County were shut down as a result of the crash. Tri-Rail passengers were being shuttled to all stops in Palm Beach County.
