OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – Employees at an Oakland Park restaurant were evacuated Tuesday after a gas line into the restaurant was cut.

The incident was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. at D'Angelo Pizza, Wine Bar and Tapas at 4215 N. Federal Highway.

An Oakland Park Fire Rescue representative said a construction crew in the area accidentally severed the gas line, which was expected to be repaired shortly.

No customers were inside the restaurant at the time.
