OAKLAND PARK, Fla. ā A man died in his home Monday morning when a small fire erupted in his Oakland Park townhouse.
The fire was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Monday at the Pines of Oakland Forest West.

Broward Sheriff's Office firefighters and deputies were called to the fire. When first responders entered the townhome, they found the body of Kirby Sellers, 57, in a second-floor bedroom.
BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter said Sellers lived alone, but his friends told detectives that they had spoken with him the previous evening.
Homicide detectives don't suspect foul play. A medical examiner will determine the cause of the death.
The state fire marshal will determine the circumstances that led to the fire.
