Kamari Gardner, 18, arrested Monday

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested in connection with the theft of a motorcycle Monday in Hollywood.

Hollywood police said an officer followed a large group of motorcycle riders and ATV riders who were driving erratically on Interstate 95 after they had been driving in the wrong direction.

Officers said a man on one of the bikes veered off of the interstate and onto the shoulder of the Stirling Road off-ramp.

Police said Kamari Gardner was pulled over on a 2003 Honda CB85R that had no license plate. A check of the vehicle found the motorcycle to have been reported stolen out of Miami Gardens on June 11, 2014.

Gardner was taken into custody and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without a license, failure to register vehicle and failure to have endorsement of motorcycle.
