GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A resident of a Gainesville group home is accused of aggravated battery after she attacked another resident and bit off parts of two of his fingers, police said.
Linda Kay Swift, 52, punched the 89-year-old man several times during an unprovoked attack before biting off the ends of two of his fingers, Gainesville police said.
Swift's arrest photograph shows a significant amount of bruising on her face and what appears to be blood spattered on her nose.
Swift faces a charge of aggravated battery on a person age 65 or older. She was being held at the Alachua County Jail on $500,000 bond.
