BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A fugitive wanted on a murder charge in New York has been arrested in South Florida.
Freddie Salgado, 30, was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop on Northeast 12th Avenue in Boynton Beach.

Boynton Beach police said Salgado was staying in an apartment at Las Ventanas.
Salgado is wanted in connection with a Jan. 11 home-invasion robbery in Queens, New York, where the victim was shot and killed.
The murder suspect was being held without bond Thursday morning at the Palm Beach County jail.
