Teenager shot while riding bicycle, Miami police say

Teen taken to hospital in stable condition

MIAMI – A teenager was shot while riding a bicycle Thursday, Miami police said.

The shooting happened at Northwest 64th Street and Sixth Avenue in Miami.

Police said the teen, who was not identified, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

"Tragedy strikes again with a 15-year-old child shot while riding a bike," Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said on Twitter. "Sadly, cowardly gun violence continues in the streets of Miami."
