Box truck takes off after striking Miami-Dade police officer's minivan

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are searching for a driver who struck a Miami-Dade police officer's Dodge Caravan and took off.

The crash was reported Wednesday morning in the area of Northwest 79th Street and 22nd Avenue.

A Miami-Dade police representative said the officer was in an unmarked county vehicle at the time.

The officer was not injured.

No other details were immediately released.
