Man accused of filming female roommate undressing in Coconut Creek

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – A man was arrested Wednesday after he attempted to videotape his roommate undressing in their Coconut Creek home, police said.

According to an arrest report, Joseph Bernhardt placed his cellphone inside the woman's closet without her knowledge while she was taking a shower.

The victim told detectives that she took off her clothes and noticed the cellphone was recording her.

The woman called police, who went to the home in the 6400 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace and placed Bernhardt under arrest.

Bernhardt faces a video voyeurism charge.
