3 arrested in Hialeah auto theft spree

HIALEAH, Fla. – Three people have been arrested for an auto theft spree in the city of Hialeah, police said.

Emilio Garcia, 26, Tomas Camejo, 25, and Yeraisy Centeno, 30, were arrested Tuesday on eight counts of grand theft auto.

According to police, the trio targeted Ford F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks throughout the city from October 2015 to February 2016.

Police said several trucks were stolen from the Hialeah Park Casino parking lot.

The group was located Tuesday night at a Hialeah motel with the assistance of Miami-Dade police, who also charged them with separate truck thefts in the county, Hialeah police spokesman Sgt. Carl Zogby said.
