FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Port Everglades seized about 154 pounds of cocaine coming from Ecuador, authorities said in a statement Wednesday. 

A CBP dog found the cocaine inside a burlap sack that appeared to have brick-shaped objects during an inspection of a vessel container coming from Guayaquil on Feb. 16.

Authorities estimate the street value of the cocaine is $2 million.

In October, officers seized more than 615 pounds of cocaine found in five duffel bags at Port Everglades while inspecting a container ship coming from Colombia.
