HOMESTEAD, Fla. – The city of Homestead is about to open what many are calling a magnificent new city hall.
The building, which looks like it belongs in Washington, DC, London or any great European city, has transformed the skyline of one of Miami-Dade's southernmost cities.
The city says it originally budgeted $25 million for the project, which sits at 100 Civic Court in Homestead.
The city says the 75-foot tall landmark was designed almost a decade ago, by Rodriguez and Quiroga Architects with hopes of revitalizing Downtown Homestead.
The new city hall officially opens on Monday, March 7.
