SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE – FIU women's basketball head coach Marlin Chinn has been suspended amid a sexual misconduct investigation reportedly brought on by the team's captain.
The Herald reports that Destini Feagin complained to the FIU athletics administration that Chinn had been pursuing a sexual relationship with her during the season.

The report says that Feagin, a senior, also filed a complaint with the NCAA alleging that Chinn loaned her $600 in December, a possible rules violation.
The Herald says FIU athletic director Pete Garcia denied comment, and that the school's athletic department held a mandatory sexual harassment meeting with all staff on Tuesday.
Chinn was suspended on Tuesday afternoon.
"FIU is conducting an investigation into allegations made against Coach Marlin Chinn," the school said in statement released Tuesday. "Based on the allegations, the university has suspended Coach Chinn, pending the outcome of the investigation. Because this is an ongoing investigation, the university will not provide additional comments at this time."
Feagin told the newspaper that her and her mother reported Chinn to school officials on Thursday.
Feagin did not participate in the team's Senior Night festivities the following night.
