POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Deputies were investigating the death of a 37-year-old man, who was shot dead at a home in Pompano Beach, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office statement released Wednesday.  

BSO deputies found Herby Lejuste dead Thursday at a home, 130 NE 25 St., near Palmview Elementary School.

Deputies were called to reports "that shots were fired," BSO spokesperson Joy Oglesby said. 

Detectives Ricky Libman and Mike Roque were asking anyone with information to call them at 954-321-4210 or call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. 

A viewing was set for 6 p.m., Friday at the Fuller Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 1301 South Powerline Road in Pompano Beach. His service was at 10 a.m., at the First Haitian Baptist Church, 333 Hammondville Road, in Pompano Beach. A friend set up a GoFundMe account
