According to an incident report, homicide and forensics detectives were called to the Bahia Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale after Fullilove's date to a Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) formal found her unresponsive when they woke up the next morning.

Detectives said Fullilove, who was a nursing student, was lying on the hotel room floor face up, and her arms stretched out to either side. They said she was fully clothed and even wearing her sandals.

According to the report, vomit was on the mattress and sheets of one of the two beds in the room and on the floor.

Detective's spoke to Fullilove's date, Sean Velazquez, who told detectives that they had been drinking heavily the night before at the formal. Detectives said he told them that they returned to the room at about 2:30 a.m. and went to bed.

When he woke up the next morning, Velazquez found Fullilove lying on her left side. He told detectives that she felt cold and was unresponsive, the report said.

According to the report, Velazquez immediately called a friend who was also staying at the hotel, and who checked Fullilove's pulse. They then called 911, and Velazquez performed CPR on Fullilove until authorities arrived.

Fullilove was pronounced dead at 11:03 a.m.

A rape kit was conducted on Fullilove, and it was determined that there was no evidence of sexual activity, the report said.

No foul play is suspected in her death.
